Online Activities

Interactive technology is becoming more important than ever in the classroom as is facilitates learning across a wide range of the Australian Curriculum. A variety of interactive activities have been created to teach skip counting and reinforce previous learning within the classroom. Below are just a few examples of how skip counting can be taught.

Balloon Pop Mathematics

 

Balloon Pop Mathematics allows students to use their interactive device to follow along and skip count by their choose number. For example as students' progress through their skip counting activity their numbers will continue to increase in difficulty. This task is to be used as an extension activity to reinforce the skills they have already been taught in previous lessons

Number Bubble Skip Counting

 

Number Bubble: Skip Counting is an educational game for kids to practice counting by multiples. Children can count by twos, threes, fours, fives, sixes, sevens, eights, nines, or tens to 100. This game can incorporate a 100s charts to show multiplication patters.

Mathletics

 

Mathletics is an interactive mathematics portal that allows teachers to set mathematics task for their students. Throughout mathletics students will participate in a number of mathematic activities that include addition, subtraction, multiplication, skip count, etc.
